This course is the first in a three-part Oracle Reports series that is based on Oracle Reports release 6. Oracle Reports the reports component of Oracle Developer is used to centralize report processing and to improve report management. It contains Report Builder a program used to create effective and professional reports. The Report Fundamentals course includes detailed Report Builder concepts. It also features the whole suite of Oracle Reports components and their capabilities for people who are computer literate and who want to gain basic skills in creating efficient reports and building integrated applications. The course familiarizes the learner with the features and components of Oracle Developer release 6. It comprises information on the Main menu interface environment variables and the method to customize an Oracle session in Oracle Developer. The course also introduces the learner to the standard design styles output destinations and execution methods of a report in Oracle Reports. The key features of Oracle Reports such as the Report Builder executables module types the Report editor views Report Builder editor objects and the Reentrant Wizard are also a part of the course. In addition this course will help students learn how to create and modify the different types of reports such as Tabular Form-like Break Mailing Label and Matrix report styles. The student learns how to use the Live Previewer document a report convert a report design file (.RDF) to a runtime executable program (.REP) and migrate report definitions from Developer/2000 Release 2 to Oracle Reports Release 6.

Audience
Application developers database administrators designer/developers and technical support professionals. Minimum Requirements
The CDROM version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
- At least a double speed CDROM drive.
- An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
