Audience
This series is designed for IT Professionals who are responsible for administration tasks in a single-domain Windows 2000-based network. Participants should have completed Microsoft Windows 2000: Administration (Course Series 72410 - 72412) and the first course in this series.
Objective

Unit 1: Hardware and Operating System Settings
- Install non-Plug and Play hardware by using Add/Remove Hardware Wizard.
- Update a device driver by using Device Manager.
- Configure driver signing options by using the System Properties dialog box.
- Match the situation related to driver signing errors with the steps involved in troubleshooting the error.
- Create a hardware profile by using Control Panel.
- Modify a hardware profile by using Device Manager.

Unit 2: Managing Disks

Minimum Requirements
The CDROM version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
- At least a double speed CDROM drive.
- An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
The network version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
