This second course in the series teaches about Web technologies including HTML tables HTML frames metadata and cascading style sheets. It provides learners with the opportunity to practice working with all of these technologies.

Audience
The target audiences for this course are End Users Application Developers Web authors marketing and communications professionals PR professionals Webmasters graphic designers technical writers and library scientists. Learners will have completed either the CIW Foundations certification or the i-Net+ certification. Both of these provide a foundational knowledge about Internet networking servers and clients design and development security and using the Internet for business. Learners should have taken the first part in this series course 87021. This course helps prepare candidates for exam 1D0-420.

Unit 1: HTML Concepts
- Identify the code that defines the structure of a Web page.
- Identify the features of HTML 4.01 that can be used in a specific situation.
- Complete the code to create the structure of a Web page by using tables.
- Identify the situations in which it is ideal to use tables for creating the structure of a Web page.
- Select the diagram of the table that is used to create the structure of a particular Web page.
- Modify the code to create a borderless page structure by using tables.
- Complete the code to create the structure of a Web page by using frames.
- Complete the code to create hyperlinks on a Web page that is created using frames.
- Identify the code to create the structure of a Web page by combining frames.
- Match metadata tags with the situations in which they are used.
- Identify the situation in which a particular DTD is used.
- Identify the metadata tags that are used to provide specific information to search engines.
- Identify the situations in which the REFRESH value can be set in metadata tags.
Unit 2: CSS
- Identify the advantages of using CSS in a specified situation.
- Identify the code to set attributes in a CSS file in a specified situation.
- Complete the code to integrate a CSS file with an HTML document by using various methods.
- Identify the set of formatting properties that are used in a specified scenario.
- Identify the set of page properties that are used to develop a Web page with the required specifications.
- Identify the set of properties in CSS2 used to generate content for developing a Web page with the required specifications.
- Identify the set of selectors in CSS2 that should be used to develop a Web page with the required specifications.
- Complete the code to modify a CSS file for specific media by setting the @media rule of CSS2.

Minimum Requirements
The CDROM version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
- At least a double speed CDROM drive.
- An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
