Description

This course teaches the student how to create a database and add tables and records to the database.  The student will also learn how to retrieve data from a database using filters.

Audience

This course is targeted at students who need to use Access 2000 for creating databases.  This course is also intended for students preparing for the MS Access 2000 Core (MOUS) Exam.

Prerequisites

To benefit completely from this course, the student should be familiar with the Windows interface and Windows terminology.

Objective

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

create a database using the Design view and the Database Wizard

  • create a table using the Datasheet view and the Table Wizard
  • add fields to a table and assign datatypes
  • create relationships between tables
  • add records to a table
  • retrieve data from tables using filters
