Description

XML Schemas is a more formal approach in document structure and validation. Schemas work in a similar fashion as a DTD but can provide more stringent control over an XML document and as a result, schemas are becoming more popular in the IT industry. This course will cover the rules and specifications in developing a schema including Data types, simple and complex elements while retaining the simplicity of a tree structure.

Audience

XML developers, IT managers, and web application developers

Prerequisites

Knowledge of HTML and or JAVA is beneficial, but not critical.

Minimum Requirements

486DX/66 MHz or higher processor, Windows 95, 98 or Windows NT 4.0. If running a version of Windows NT, must be running Windows NT Service Pack 3 or higher. For Windows 95/98: 16 MB of RAM min.; Windows NT: 32 MB of RAM min. Notepad or basic text editor required.
