This course is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge of Lotus Notes and discusses the relationship between database, documents, forms and views.

Notes Basics
What is Notes?
- Explains what Notes is and introduces the Notes workspace;
Starting Notes
- How to start and exit Lotus Notes;
- Concepts are definitions introduced include the user password
and user ID file;
- Explains how to start Notes from the Windows desktop;
- Explain how to open a Notes database, enter a password, lock
the user ID, and exit Notes;
The Notes Workspace
- Introduces the Notes workspace;
- Concept and definitions include the workspace, workpages, menu
bar, status bar, and SmartIcons;
- Describes the basic features of the workspace and explains how
to switch between workpages, rename workpages and how to move databases between workpages.
Notes Databases
Databases
- Discusses the relationship between databases, documents,
forms, and views;
- Adding icon to a workpage;
Documents
- Explains what a document is and discusses the differences
between regular and response documents;
- Opening, closing, and creating a new document and creating a
new response document;
- Explains the use of the navigation buttons and introduces the
concept of categories.

Reading Mail
- Introduces the mail database and explains how to open and read
