In this course, you will learn about Windows 2000 Professional's powerful features that enable you to install the operating system on multiple computers simultaneously. You will become acquainted with the concept of answer files and distribution folders, as well as with the procedure for creating an answer file and distribution folder. You will also learn about the system requirements for installing an RIS server and client and about the procedures for installing RIS, creating image of Windows 2000 Professional, and installing Windows 2000 Professional on a remote computer. The course will teach you to create a disk image using the System Preparation tool, and it will explain the procedure for repackaging Windows 2000 applications for Windows installer, and then deploying the repackaged application. Finally, you will find out about resolving problems related to Windows 2000 Professional installation using answer files and RIS.
