This course is a multi-step process of collecting cleansing and storing data for use in analyses and reporting applicaitions and making information available to a wide audience of end-users. Using the Data Transformation Services Package Designer the student will be able to define steps workflow and transformations necessary to build a data warehouse.

Audience
SQL Server 7.0 Data Warehousing is designed for imformation system professionals whose role it is to gather store and provide data for business reporting purposes and who wants to utilize the powerful new features of SQL Server 7.0. It can also be used by IS Managers who need to understand the capabilities of SQL Server 7.0. It can provide a greater understanding of the intricacies of data warehousing to intersted people who are familiar with fundamental relatinal datavase concepts and terms.
Prerequisites
Should be familiar with fundamental database concepts and client/server operations and architecture. Knowledge of earlier versions of MS SQL Server is essential to uderstand the importance of recent upgrades included in the SQL Server 7.0 product.
