This course is designed to introduce the inexperienced user to procedures used to install system software (SYSMODs), using SMP/E. Specifically, it deals with installation command processing, SMP/E processing analysis and correction techniques, installing functions, and using SMP/E dialogs. This course primarily for system programmers who have no prior practical experience with SMP/E, and who will be responsible for servicing MVS, MVS/ESA or OS/390 subsystems.
