Microsoft Windows 98 is an operating system a computer program that controls the basic operation of your computer and the programs you run on it. Programs also known as applications are task-oriented software you use to accomplish specific tasks such as word processing managing files on your computer and performing calculations. The five units in this Intermediate course build on your knowledge of fundamental Windows skills and present additional topics including how to use Internet Explorer and work with Web pages; use Outlook Express to send receive and manage e-mail messages; manage shared files using Network Neighborhood; create a Web page with FrontPage Express; and create and work with a docucentric desktop.
