Assertiveness Skills is designed to provide a clear understanding of what is meant by assertiveness - expressing thoughts and requests in a direct, honest and appropriate way. The benefits of assertive communication are illustrated as well as the downsides of aggressive and passive styles. The bulk of the class focuses on providing step-by-step techniques for attaining assertive communication in difficult, real-life business situations that participants are currently facing.
