Course Objectives: This two week training program follows the five phase Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC) model and is scheduled in one week per month intervals with 5 weeks between sessions. This structure affords Black Belt trainees the opportunity to apply acquired knowledge and tools to a specified project.
Course Summary: - This course provides Green Belts with the tools, understanding necessary to transistion to a Black Belt. Just as traditional trained Black Belts, there is an expectation of working on the project even after the class work is complete. - The Black Belt will be tasked with assembling and working with a team. The team will be made up of the process experts who make the products and run the processes. - The Black Belt will make the transition to using the black belt process and tools as a routine way of conducting business - not just while working on this project. - Move mentally from being product driven toward being process driven.
Pre-requisites: Green Belt Training, Complete Pre-class assessment prior to session.
Course Requirements:
Software: Minitab or Statistica, Microsoft Project, Microsoft PowerPoint
Hardware: Laptop with CD and 32RAM minimum for work in classroom
