In this 1-day program, participants will learn how to involve suppliers in continuously monitoring and evaluating cost performance. Using concepts such as value analysis, best value, make vs. buy, out sourcing, and lead-time reduction, participants will learn how to develop plans to measure, evaluate, and improve cost management on the commodities they purchase. This program will highlight a process improvement model that can be used to improve purchasing processes and supplier quality. Specific examples of early supplier involvement will be demonstrated in typical purchasing situations. Participants will be able to develop individualized plans to improve results.
