This 1-day program will cover the salient differences between commercial and government contracting and the specific procurement requirements of the Federal Government. The CPSR tool used by the Government to assess contractors' purchasing systems will be evaluated. The tie to policies and procedures and the need to adequately document purchasing activities will be specified. Best-in-class practices will be demonstrated and gaps in performance will be assessed.

Purchasing Under Government Contracts
Purchasing using Government funds is governed by the rules and regulations of the issuing Government agency. Some of these agencies subscribe to the Federal Acquisition Regulations while others consider implementing regulations specific to the issuing agency such as the Department of Defense and the National Aeronautics and Space Agency. Many Government agencies audit the purchasing systems of contractors to ensure that Federal funds are spent wisely, using the Federal procurement model as a template. CCG has performed many of the preparatory assessments needed to gauge a given company s level of compliance prior to the full Government audit.
