This 1 and 1/2 day Supplier Development workshop provides direction on world-class ways of working with suppliers to improve supply chain performance in all areas that will benefit the cross-functional interests of the organization. Topics to be covered include defining supplier development; examples of effective supplier development and evaluation systems; components of implementation activities; managing supplier performance; using the right measures to evaluate performance; value analysis; managing the feedback process; the continuous improvement model; supplier certification; how to continuously evaluate the quality of supplier relationships; and supplier development. Resources, setting goals, performance review methods, and communication issues will be discussed.
