Based on the book Evolving Leadership this 3-day leadership development and performance improvement program takes the participant through the five levels of leadership. Participants will emerge from this certificate program in a class of their own. They will learn about personal leadership; communicating with others; leading others; leading organizations; and leading organizations that continuously teach their people to lead.

How can you lead in a diverse & multi-faceted world when the leadership training you ve received has been limited or industry specific? Come join other leaders share in our diverse and interactive leadership program, Emerging Leaders & Beyond. You ll discover the 5 levels of leadership and become a better leader by teaching those that you lead.

This program will set forth competencies and develop skills that great managers and leaders possess, competencies that are needed for building effective leadership capacity. Seasoned executives will hone their skills with our interactive instruction and learn some new tools to put into use. The new or up and coming manager will create their management tool kit and learn what it takes to make it to the top. The entrepreneur will learn skills needed to grow their business (inwardly) and add value for their clients (outwardly).

Level I Leadership - Personal Leadership Before you lead others you must learn to master yourself. Managing your own time effectively and developing your own personal mission and vision is critical to this first step. You will also learn about the importance of setting goals that are in alignment with your mission and vision and how to tie them to your company s mission and vision. Planning for setbacks helps to overcome the problems that arise when things don t go according to plan.

Level II Leadership - Communicating with Others The next step to emerging as a leader is to develop your communication skills and learn how to adapt to the communication (or learning) styles of others. You will develop a style of communication that will lead to a greater understanding of yourself and those around you. Clear understanding and communication is essential to successfully leading others.

Level III Leadership - Leading Others Rising in your knowledge of leadership you will begin to lead others in a manner that has been redefined. It begins with an understanding of others and transcends into an understanding of human nature and behavior that will allow you to share your passion and insights with others and learn as much from that interaction as you give.

Level IV Leadership - Leading Organizations Learning to lead an organization can be frightening if you expect to know all the answers. Learning to develop those around you will enable you to lead your organization into the future with the confidence that you are going in the right direction and taking others with you. Developing them to become the future leaders of the organization.

Level V Leadership - Leading Organizations that Continuously Teach Their People to Lead Lastly you will learn what it takes to lead change instead of having change lead you. You will engage those around you to embrace the change and create a better workplace environment because of it. You will learn what it takes to be a leader in the new century; to lead your organization to be more profitable, among the best in its industry and in the world, one that retains the best people, and one that continuously develops leaders at all levels of the organization.

Entrepreneurs will learn skills needed to grow their business and add value for their clients. This 3-day leadership development and performance improvement program involves interactive, practical, creative experience-based learning -- not just academic theory. Class size is limited to 25 people.

Personal Leadership before you lead others you must learn to master yourself. Managing your own time effectively and developing your own personal mission and vision is critical to this first step. Segment 1 - Philosophy Based Time Management

In this session we will help you to learn the importance of personal mission and vision statements and how to create them. You ll learn how to analyze the way you spend your time. You ll learn to keep the main thing the main thing, and to work effectively and competently. You ll leave with the knowledge of how to achieve your goals, keep your balance and to encourage others to do the same as well as practical tools to help you manage your time.

Segment 2 - Goal Setting & Problem Solving to Achieve High Performance

Taking what you have learned even further, we will teach you how to set realistic and achievable goals that stretch your capacity to grow and develop. Learn how to keep just enough tension to create the energy needed to perpetuate your self-efficacy. You'll also learn how to personalize company goals to gain "buy in" from your staff. You ll discover a workable plan that through the use of affirmations and visualization will provide measurable objectives to help you achieve goals and set new ones. You will learn how to use creative problem solving techniques, involve staff in problem solving, and turn problems into opportunities.

Communicating with Others the next step to emerging as a leader is to develop your communication skills and learn how to adapt to the communication (or learning) styles of others. Segment 3 - Communication Styles

We will share with you the difference in communication styles and how to be certain you get the results you re expecting each and every time. We will look to better understand human behavior and discuss barriers to communication. You will learn to be a better leader by learning how we each process information and how to better listen to others and be heard.

Segment 4 - Hiring, Training & Retaining Quality People - this is a homework assignment mostly and not covered in the 3-day course.

Leading Others rising in your knowledge of leadership you will begin to lead others in a manner that has been redefined. Segment 5 - Leading & Managing Successful Teams

Many companies understand the need to work in teams, but many find it difficult to make teams work. This session will give you the insight to develop team members to be better team players, develop leadership skills as a team, and learn to communicate within the team structure and achieve real results. You will learn the stages to a performing team and how to lead your team through each stage. You'll take away planning tools to use in your work team.

Segment 6 - Coaching & Mentoring

Do you know the difference between coaching & mentoring? During this session we will discuss the differences, learn about the importance of shadowing and testing, and how to make them most effective in the workplace. We will also set the stage for coaching including setting goals and expectations to make the coaching relationship an outstanding one.

Segment 7 - Bringing Creativity into the WorkPlace

Are you taking advantage of your workforce s collective creativity? This workshop will explore methods for gaining the creative input from all your staff. It will discuss the physical, cultural and supporting structures that are needed to support and stimulate creativity. There are billions of possibilities out there your job is to selectively bring them to market before your competition does.

Segment 8 - Knowledge Management How do You Capitalize on it?

Every organization has collective knowledge in all aspects of its existence yet most organizations let that knowledge dissipate when the employees who created it leave the organization. You will learn the various definitions of knowledge management, the history of it and tools to begin to manage the knowledge in your company. Come learn how to set up the structures and procedures necessary to capitalize on this very important asset.

Segment 9 - Stress Management - this is homework only and not covered in the 3-day course.

Segment 10 - Personal Development Developing Yourself and Others

This session is focused on helping you to continuously seek to improve yourself both personally and professionally. You will learn how to select and seek out mentors, and how to become a mentor yourself. You will learn to be a coach and to be coachable. You will learn to set your personal mission and vision and set goals that are in alignment with them. You will discover the importance of planning your long-term development along with the long-term development of others. You will walk away with the tools you need to review your progress and commitment on a regular basis.

Leading Organizations that Continuously Teach Their People to Lead Lastly you will learn what it takes to lead change instead of having it lead you. You will engage those around you to embrace the change and create a better workplace environment because of it. You will learn what it takes to be a leader in the new century; to lead your organization to be more profitable; among the best in its industry and in the world; one that retains the best people; and one that continuously develops leaders at all levels of the organization.

Segment 11 Leading Change Finding Your True North in an Ever-changing Landscape

Why is change so painful? Can we control it? Can we lead it? Come learn the answers to these questions and how to do it! Experience the change process 1st hand in a project simulation that holds a few surprises. See how you hold up when the tables are "turned" and you still have to deliver the goods. You'll leave this session with the confidence that you have the tools you need to lead change effectively and come out ahead of the competition.

Segment 12 Developing the Leadership Capacity of Your Business Leaders at Every Level

Learn how can you benchmark your existing culture for its leadership intelligence. Learn and teach to begin thinking strategically rather than tactically. Engage people in the process and develop an organization that continuously teaches others how to become leaders. This begins to create the environment in which leadership development will flourish. You will learn what it takes to be a leader in the new century; to lead your organization to be more profitable; among the best in its industry and in the world; one that retains the best people; and one that continuously develops leaders at all levels of the organization.

These sessions are interactive and intense based on actual practices that have been utilized in our businesses. This isn t a course in theory but in practice. The lessons you will learn will help you to take action, and to fulfill your future both in business and in life.
