Effective performance management requires an ability to successfully coach others, both in an annual review and on an ongoing basis. We explore how to prepare for and conduct discussions, and what to do to follow-up afterwards and how to help people operate at their maximum capacity (See Details Below).
Every LTI classroom program is designed to achieve specific results aligned with your immediate business needs. By focusing on skills and concepts, promoting direct application, and creating an environment where participants can practice new strategies, the likelihood of impacting real, positive change, is dramatically improved. Each of our programs is specifically designed to address your unique set of needs, and can incorporate any number of assessments and tools that are necessary for achieving those results.
Classroom programs can range in length from two hours to three days. We can conduct these sessions at your place of business, or at other locations including conference centers, resorts, or other meeting facilities. All programs are customized to suit your specific needs and to ensure that the results:
Address real and recognizable issues.
Fit your organization's culture.
Reinforce other training and management initiatives.
LTI's focus is on actual implementation of new solutions. We believe there are four critical steps in designing programs that result in positive change. These four primary components represent the cornerstones of every LTI program.
Accurate Needs Assessment: what is the issue
Well-Defined Goals & Objectives: where do you want to be
Hands-On Experience: practice and adaptation
Leave With a Plan: what is next
We view ourselves as your business partner. By helping you create a training strategy, and then systematically addressing critical issues, both individuals and teams become better equipped to overcome not only daily, but also long-term challenges.
Our Goal: to become your business partner, providing perspective, support, and solutions.
Our Mission: to design training so specific to YOUR needs that you will use those skills on a daily basis.
Our Purpose: to help you overcome obstacles to success.

Training Program Details
Performance management requires a great deal from both the manager and the employee. To be effective, both have to be active participants, communicating and working together more than just once a year. Participants learn how to continually maintain communication and feedback, how to prepare for a performance discussion, how to manage the actual discussion, and how to follow-up on an ongoing basis.
Participants will learn to:
Coach Others For Success
Performance management is more than just an annual performance review. Learn how to be an effective coach all year long, with the year-end reviews being simply a part of the overall process.
Prepare For The Performance Review
Explore several approaches for setting goals and getting others involved in the performance process. Learn how to gather documentation and prepare both yourself and the employee ahead of time. Practice clarifying roles and expectations.
Conduct The Performance Discussion
Use an eight-step process to help you through the discussion, from setting the tone, to giving and receiving feedback, to building on the employee s strengths, and setting specific goals.
Follow-Up, The Key To Success
Frequent communication and feedback are critical to successful performance management. Explore skills to deal with difficult situations and give corrective feedback. Gain an understanding of policy and legal concerns and learn what records need to be maintained.
