ITS315 - Advanced Computer and Network Support
Course description
During the Advanced Computer and Network Support module, students explore the more complex aspects of personal computer support and learn the basics of computer networking. Through a combination of lecture and hands-on labs, students learn how to connect personal computers to Local Area Networks and the Internet; install and configure TCP/IP in both dynamic and static implementations; and learn to diagnose and troubleshoot problem areas. Students learn to support numerous desktop components; such as modems, printers, SCSI, notebooks and PDAs, and apply preventive maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
