ITS7000 - Net+ Boot Camp
Course description
Network+ is a vendor neutral CompTIA-sponsored certification that measures the technical knowledge and hands-on proficiency of networking professionals in the IT industry. This intensive, 5-day Boot Camp is targeted for technicians with 18 to 24 months of hands-on networking experience. The fundamentals of networking will be demonstrated through lecture and hands-on labs. Students will acquire the vendor-independent networking skills and concepts that affect all aspects of networking, such as installing and configuring the TCP/IP client. This Boot Camp prepares students for the Network+ Certification exam, which will be administered in our onsite VUE Testing Center on the last day of class. Net+ certification can also serve as a prerequisite for vendor-specific IT certifications like MCSE. A+ certification in combination with Net+ can be used as an elective exam for the MCSA certification program.
Who should attend This Boot Camp is designed for students with A+ certification, or equivalent hands-on experience with a network operating system.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows NT or Novell NetWare operating systems and knowledge of Windows 2000 new features.
