The Supporting Microsoft Operating Systems module provides students with the knowledge and skills required to install, configure, support, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 2000 Professional, and Windows XP in both stand-alone and network environments. Students learn to use the maintenance and troubleshooting tools included in these operating systems to configure, optimize and troubleshoot hardware and software components. The differences between Windows 2000 Professional and NT 4.0 Workstation are reviewed.
