What is DiSC?
DiSC is a model of human behavior that helps people understand why they do what they do. The dimensions of Dominance, influencing, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness make up the model and interact with other factors to describe human behavior.
Originally created by Dr. William Marston at Columbia University and researched and updated by Dr. John Geier and Inscape Publishing at the University of Minnesota, the DiSC model and its various assessment tools have helped over 35 million people in 20 languages over the last 40 years.
Why do clients use the DiSC model and tools?

- Participants learn to use appropriate adult learning methodologies that are research-based and that help people learn more easily and apply DiSC learning to their jobs
- DiSC Certification Participants apply the information using a variety of DiSC assessments and interactive exercises. Applications for coaching, conflict resolution, leadership, management, sales, service, and teambuilding are explored
- Participants create a customized application plan for themselves and a performance enhancement strategy for their organizations
- Participants will experience a DiSC Workshop they can immediately deliver
- DiSC Certification Participants learn how to correctly administer, score, and apply the DiSC Profile in their own workshops, coaching sessions, and consulting settings using supporting materials including their Everything DiSC Facilitation System
- Certification participants will demonstrate their understanding of the DiSC Model by delivering a mini presentation in small groups
Upon successful completion of the DiSC Certification, you will have the knowledge and background necessary to teach DiSC to others. You will need to purchase the appropriate DiSC self-assessment tool(s) for each of your participants. You may also develop training programs around the DiSC model, or purchase off-the-shelf programs that incorporate DiSC.

DiSC Certification Pre-Work
1) You will receive an Online DiSC Classic Profile 2.0 (Personal Profile System) Access Code via email 7-10 days prior to the training session. You will respond online, print out your personalized report, and bring it with you to the training session.
2) You will also receive an access code for the Understanding Behavioral Styles online course which you will take prior to the training session to introduce you to the DiSC model.
Day 1: Learn to Speak DiSC
The purpose of Day 1 is to gain a thorough understanding of the DiSC model of human behavior. You will also observe and participate in a DiSC workshop that you will be able to deliver yourself.
