Introduction to QuickBooks

CREATE LISTS:

Create/Edit Customer, Vendor, and Item lists (for products, services, taxes, etc.)

INVOICES AND PAYMENTS

Create, Edit, Customize, and Print invoices. Apply full or partial payments to open invoices. Handle discounts, credits, and refunds for customers. Make deposits.

WRITE CHECKS:

Handle QuickBooks checks or handwritten checks. Edit, Split, Void & Delete checks.

RECONCILE STATEMENTS:

Reconcile checking, savings, and credit card accounts.

REPORTS AND GRAPHS:

Create, customize, and memorize a wide variety of reports & graphs.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:

Use Accounts Payable to enter and pay bills. Handle discounts and credits with vendors.

INVENTORY:

Set-up inventory, create purchase orders, receive items and bill.

MISC.:

Use FIND feature to locate information. Use TO DO and REMINDERS lists to keep track of information. Memorize groups of invoices or payments to save time.

PREREQUISITES: Introduction to Windows or comparable experience. Course handout covers versions 2000-2004. Students will use version 2004 in class.
