This course teaches about image manipulation and automation and vector graphics and ImageReady. The Image Manipulation and Automation section teaches about manipulating selections and images advanced layers channels masks filters and automating tasks. The Vector Graphics and ImageReady section introduces vector graphics preparing images for the Web and the ImageReady 7.0 software.

Audience
The audience consists of graphic designers artists photographers and Web developers that are involved in re-touching photographs manipulating images and creating original artwork. The audience may also be involved in creating graphics for the Web. No formal prerequisites are stated for this curriculum. Previous graphics design experience would be beneficial.
Objective
Upon completion of this learning object the student will be able to:
- To create a fixed-size selection on an Adobe Photoshop 7.0 image.
- To fade a selection by using the Feather command in Adobe Photoshop 7.0.
- To create a colored border from an Adobe Photoshop 7.0 selection.

Minimum Requirements
The CDROM version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
- At least a double speed CDROM drive.
- An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
