Beginning with a general overview and an introduction to e-business this course goes on to teach the fundamentals of Web-based application architectures as well as some key concepts in client and server-side technologies. Making the transformation from a traditional business to an e-business becomes the focus as this course progresses. Learners will encounter lessons on building blocks required for the transformation as well as some of the fundamentals of customer relationship management.

Executives managers and technical leaders who need to start e-business projects but who do not have a background in e-business. Individuals who want to understand e-business (including the underlying technologies) designing building blocks and products used to build solutions." No prerequisite knowledge of e-business technology is assumed. This course is the prerequisite course for the WebSphere Java and XML curricula.

Minimum Requirements
The CDROM version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
- At least a double speed CDROM drive.
- An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
