This course's aim is to help the learner overcome listening problems and enable him or her to communicate more effectively. It identifies barriers to listening and provides useful guidelines for improving the learner's listening skills. This course concentrates on how to interpret use and improve body language as a form of communication. Finally it identifies common listening styles so the learner can encourage others to listen.

Unit 2: Listening to Communicate
- Identify the four different listening styles.
- Identify the guidelines for encouraging others to listen to you.

Unit 3: Nonverbal Communication
- Identify the elements you should use to interpret a speakera s body language.
- Identify the three ways to use body language effectively.
- Identify the characteristics of body language.
- Identify the four methods for improving nonverbal abilities.
- Simulation Overview.

Minimum RequirementsThe CDROM version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
- At least a double speed CDROM drive.
- An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
