Audience
The target audience will range from new users to power users. It is expected that the vast majority of learners will have at least had some exposure to previous versions of Excel. Fundamental PC and Windows skills are assumed.
Objective
Upon completion of this course the student will learn:
- To format a worksheet.
- To manipulate a graphic.
- To manage Excel templates.
- To secure a workbook.
- To share a workbook.
- To import data to Excel.
- To export data from Excel.
- To group outline and consolidate data from two or more worksheets in Excel.
Topics Include
Unit 1: Formatting Worksheets and Graphics
- Format a worksheet.
- Manipulate a graphic.
Unit 2: Using Templates and Securing Workbooks
- Manage Excel templates.
- Secure a workbook.
Unit 3: Working with Shared Workbooks
- Export data from Excel.
- Group outline and consolidate data from two or more worksheets in Excel.
- Create a PivotTable and a PivotChart report.
- Import data to Excel.
- Use a list range and an advanced filter.

Minimum Requirements
The CDROM version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
- At least a double speed CDROM drive.
- An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
