Therapeutic Interventions using Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy/Cognitive Behaviour Therapy: Module 1.

Training Provided by ABC Coaching and Counselling Services This is an exciting foundation level course in the use of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy. It will be of use to practitioners who have clients/patients presenting with problems of anger, anxiety or depression. Skills role-play will be a major feature of the course.

Therapeutic Interventions using Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy/Cognitive Behaviour Therapy: Module 1. This continuing professional development module will teach you how to tackle problems of anger, anxiety and depression in therapy clients, using the ABC model and the theory of Brief REBT. The course, which runs over two days, will include presentations on the theory and techniques of brief REBT, plus practical role-playing sessions in applying these theories and techniques in face to face encounters. This module runs over two days: Saturday 12th November 2005, from 10.00am to 5.00pm; and Sunday 13th November 2005, from 10.00am to 3.00pm. The venue, in either Hebden Bridge or Halifax, will be posted later, once the size of the training group becomes known. The trainer will be Jim Byrne, plus one colleague. Participants will receive a Continuing Professional Development Certificate. Conversion to a Primary Cert in REBT will depend upon the completion of further distance learning work, plus submission of an 3 audio-taped sessions demonstrating competent use of REBT with a client.
