Adobe InDesign CS is, for many, the next generation page layout application of choice, set to unseat QuarkXPress as the leader in the desktop publishing arena. It contains a host of advanced text, colour, print and layout features not found in any other application. It also boasts and interface similar to many of Adobe s other leading design applications and so is reasonably intuitive for users of these applications. Further, Adobe InDesign integrates seamlessly with the other Adobe applications and can include native Photoshop and Illustrator files. PDF output, XML , and export to GoLive output are also supported, making InDesign the perfect tool for repurposing content.
In this one day course we cover all of the key features of InDesign that experienced QuarkXPress users will require to make the transition to InDesign. You will guided through the different shortcuts, differences in colour, stylesheets, text-flowing, output etc. You will also discover the whole range of new features that InDesign CS can offer the discerning designer like advanced text controls, ink mangement, nested styles, and a range of other features. This two day course also gives you the chance to create some of your own publications or designs from scratch in order to guarantee that you have all the skills you need to do your work before leaving the training.
By the end of this course you will be able to make the transition with confidence to InDesign.
