Mac OS X brought a lot of changes to the Mac platform, some of them immediately welcome (stability, new possibilities, UNIX) some of them less so (performance issues, software compatibility, required changes to workflow etc.) Either way, many of the changes from OS 9 to OS X were fairly radical, and present real challenges to users making the upgrade.
This course can be taken either by people wanting to make the transition from an earlier version of MAC OS to Mac OS X Panther or by complete novices who want learn about the Mac operating system.
By the end of this course you will be able to install and troubleshoot Mac OS X, set up user accounts and understand priviledges. You will be able to use the new Finder to easily navigate and organise your file system as well a performing common tasks such as setting up a printer, making a network connection, shring files, etc. YOu will also have a good understanding of how to use many of Apple s pre-installed applications for work or entertainment.
