TITLE: You re in Charge What Now?

BACKGROUND: This fast-paced seminar is a hands-on, practical learning experience that provides the attendee with work related exercises and actions to take back to the workplace. It is designed for the work leader , a term work used to describe the first level of leadership in an organization.

LEARNING OUTCOMES: The attendee should go back to the workplace with a clear understanding of the seven essential steps to achieving work leader success. In addition, the participant will have a specific action plan for addressing each of the steps on return and will have practiced using the knowledge, skills and behaviors required to become an effective leader.

AUDIENCE: This seminar is ideal for any person recently promoted to a first level supervisory or managerial role. Others who benefit are those who have been work leaders for a period of time and are struggling with the leadership of the staff.

TOPICS COVERED: The seminar is built around the mnemonic L.E.A.D.E.R.S. which emphasizes the need for real people leadership for first level management. The letters represent the seven essential steps: Love, Expectations, Assignment, Development, Evaluation, Rewards and Self. These steps are really core fundamentals of what great leaders must do, not just conceptual statements about characteristics of leaders. They are simple, yet the execution is not easy.

FEATURES: The full day seminar is designed for groups not to exceed twenty-five (25) participants. It is highly interactive with many practical exercises requiring group participation where participants learn from each other. Prefer large room with circular tables of 5-6 participants per table. Power point presentation preferred, but not required.
