TITLE: How To Get Fired By Doing A Great Job
BACKGROUND: This fast-paced keynote will challenge the audience to look at their own job activities and to evaluate how they might think they are doing everything right, and yet be on course to be terminated by the organization. Our own perception of job performance is only one of a variety of factors that go into job security and success.
LEARNING OUTCOMES: The attendees should go back to the workplace and their personal lives with a clear understanding of the issues that could be putting them and their career in jeopardy. They will leave with the questions that they need to ask themselves in order to determine if they are doing so well at their job that they are running directly to the exit door. They will want to take these ideas back to change the way they feel, believe and behave each day of their lives.
AUDIENCE: This keynote is designed for a broad audience of executives, managers and supervisory personnel. The presentation is tailored to the audience, hence, all examples will be directed at the level in attendance.
TOPICS COVERED: The seminar is built around the core concept that high-quality job performance is not a surefire way to job security. The audience learns that focus on quality performance that satisfies the goals of the organization and the boss are critical to success; however, it does not guarantee longevity. The core message is: continue to grow and learn and improve your knowledge and skills so that you remain relevant as the needs of the work environment change and evolve in the future.
FEATURES: The keynote is for groups of almost any size and has been given to groups as small as ten and as large as 2,000. The presentation will be highly energetic and fast moving and laced with humorous and real life examples of how simply doing a great job could be the worst thing for a long career. There is a PowerPoint presentation with a computer, a remote mouse and pointer, and a wireless, lavaliere microphone allowing a far ranging movement by the speaker away from the podium, potentially into the audience.
LEADER BIOGRAPHY: The learning experience for the audience comes from Gerry Czarnecki s years of leadership having been-there-and-done-that at every level in a variety of businesses. That experience makes it possible for him to relate to a wide array of participants. He will share his own experiences with the realities of doing a great job and ending up with a boss who disagreed. As a boss, an instructor, a professor, a facilitator, a coach, a success and a failure, his personal and practical experiences make this fast-paced presentation a credible and stimulating path to the future.
