AutoCAD Level 1
The class is appropriate for all disciplines--architects, engineers, designers, facilities planners, drafters, technicians, and others. It is also appropriate for those who will be primarily involved in editing drawings created by others. We recommend the complete Level One course for anyone who needs a full understanding of the program. Level 1, which covers the indispensable core skills, may be taken as a stand-alone class by those whose use of AutoCAD will be limited (for instance, editing drawings created by others). AutoCAD Expert builds directly on the topics covered in Level 1, and will give the student more sophisticated tools for greater control of AutoCAD.
Upon completion of the class, the student will be able to create a basic 2D drawing using drawing and editing tools, organize drawing objects on layers, add text and basic dimensions, and prepare to plot. We recommend 20 to 40 hours of practice after class in order to reinforce these new skills.
