Mac Basics

Training Provided by The Career Center Mac OS X is the easiest to use computer operating system available. With its consistent, intuitive interface, you will get your work done quickly and easily using your computer as a tool to assist you in accomplishing your daily tasks. During this course, including computer lab time, students will be provided with the information necessary to complete the following objectives:
  • Choose commands from menus and use keyboard shortcuts.
  • Use various window controls and menu commands to manage your workspace.
  • Use system preferences to change settings for your computer.
  • Work with several applications at the same time.
  • Work with applications in the Classic environment.
  • Create a filing system to organize documents, applications, and folders.
  • Use removable media to place files on the hard disk.
