Introduction to Networking

Serebra Learning Corporation
Training Provided by Serebra Learning Corporation

This module begins with an overview of computing that includes topics such as PC components measurement terms and the decimal binary and hexadecimal number conversion processes. Lesson 2 covers network fundamentals discussing important terminology used throughout the text and in the field. The highlight of this lesson is the Open Systems Interconnect (OSI) model. Lesson 3 discusses network devices by highlighting the important characteristics of repeaters hubs bridges switches routers and layer 3 switches. Lesson 4 discusses the network topologies commonly used in local area networks (LANs). This lesson ends with a review of the mesh and cloud or service provider network topologies often found in wide area network (WAN) implementations.
