Audience

This course is intended for programmers who are interested in adding the Java programming language to their list of skills and students who are preparing for the Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform exam.

Objective

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

• Sequence the steps that occur during the development life cycle (DLC) of a Java program.
• Sequence the steps of security checks supported by the JVM-level security in the Java Security Model.
• Identify the syntax for using integer data types.
• Identify the syntax for using floating-point data types.
