Training Provided by Texas State Technical College West Texas Course Objective: This course is designed to introduce the student to the main features of ControlLogix and the family of Logix5000 platforms. Students will learn specific skills such as communications with ControlNet and Ethernet, tags, module configuration, ladder logic, function blocks, arrays, and user defined data types. Students will learn project structure specific to ControlLogix by configuring tasks, programs, and routines. Subjects on distributed control include produced/consumed tags, remote I/O, and messaging. Frequent hands-on labs are provided using networked ControlLogix system workstations. Instructor: The Texas State Technical College West Texas Energy Management Program, EMP, provides industry experienced instructors to furnish students with an understanding of application and troubleshooting. The various PLC instructors are knowledgeable in pipeline/oilfield operations and industrial automation systems. Mr. Mike Baugh is a certified Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley ControlLogix, PLC-5, SLC 500, and DeviceNet Instructor and offers a 14 year unique mix of practical field experience and high-end automation theory and practice.
