Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) currently is involved in an RFID Skills Certification Initiative called as RFID+ certification. This vendor-neutral professional certification will validates a professional s knowledge and skills in the areas of installation, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of hardware and software functionality of RFID products. CompTIA RFID+ certification is expected to be available later this year or early in 2006.
RFID4U as a Cornerstone Committee member is contributing our expertise to efforts by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) to develop this vendor-neutral RFID certification. By participating in the certification development process, we along-with other cornerstone committee members helps determine the content of the RFID certification: its scope, the target audience and job skills an individual needs to be proficient in RFID system installation, maintenance or management.
