Just as in business, we often choose a course where the destination is known, but the tools and strategies for getting there are not yet in place. This is a unique business simulation that uses sailing as a model for our work environment. From the moment that your team sets foot on the boat(s), they are challenged to define their objectives and to leverage their experience. With minimal training, they must quickly develop a plan. It's now time to get the boat underway and learn to work together to navigate through a variety of challenges. The group learns to read environmental indicators that are critical to success, plot their course, and develop a plan for reaching their destination, while dealing with the unexpected that can rock the boat and throw the team off-course. Activities become progressively more challenging, as the team becomes more of a working unit (See Details Below).

What: On Course To Excellence is a corporate sailing program designed to do more than teach participants the difference between a sheet and a halyard. Our goal is to get business people communicating and working together as a team. Programs focus specifically on your company's issues.
Why: Sailing offers numerous analogies to the work place:
Plotting your course and knowing where you're going is vital.
Delegating duties is essential. Communication and teamwork are key to keeping the sails full and the ship moving forward.
Reading the indicators of the environment is crucial to your success.
Dealing with unexpected storms and changes in the environment can rock the boat and throw your team off course.
Who: Your program will be designed by professional consultants, with at least 20 years of business experience as well as being skilled sailors. We have on staff a U.S. Coast Guard certified Captain as well as professionally trained technical staff.
Where: We offer both inland and offshore programs based on your needs. Locations include Lake Lanier (north of Atlanta, GA) as well as offshore locations along the East and West Coast, in the Caribbean, and in Hawaii.
Benefits: Working on the sea has brought people together for years. You'll learn how to tackle seemingly insurmountable problems and break them down so they're manageable. You'll look at how your team plans and how to plan more effectively. You'll work to accomplish a common goal using the individual skills and strengths of each member.
