This course Microsoft Operations Framework Essentials is an introductory two-day course designed to expose students to the three key elements of the Microsoft Operations Framework the MOF process team models and risk models. This course also helps students to understand the purpose of MOF by giving the context of its development and describing how MOF builds upon the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) to achieve its goals.

Module 1: Introduction to MOF
This module provides insights into the business context of and the reasons for MOF's development. It then gives a brief overview of MOF and how it approaches the challenges that faced it.

This module provides a high-level overview of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). ITIL is considered the most consistent and comprehensive documentation of best practice for IT service management in the world.

This module presents the MOF Process Model. It provides an overview of the quadrants their associated operations management reviews (OMRs) and service management functions (SMFs). It also describes key principles and underlying concepts.

This module is an overview of the MOF Team Model. It describes the principles of a successful team and shows the seven different team role clusters and their goals for success.
