In the business world, writing is an essential part of our day-to-day responsibilities. Nobody is exempt from having to write documents such as memos, procedures, reports, summaries and bad-news letters.
Procedure documents require writing that is especially clear, concise, and easily understood. For this reason this course focuses on a more technical approach to the three phases of the writing process: prewriting, drafting and revising.
The course is designed to provide several writing principles to help delegates evaluate and improve their own writing approach and style. In addition, the course covers techniques for agreeing group responsibilities, methods for organising delegates time and improving their assertiveness. Exercises are structured for individual or group participation followed by debriefing and/or instructor feedback.
This course is intended for managers, supervisors, administrators, technicians and those who supervise or review the writing of others as part of their work.
