The Developing Applications for Microsoft Transaction Server 2.0 course is the second course in the Transaction Server curriculum consisting of three courses. It is designed to give an overview of MTS components and provide students with the skills needed to develop Web applications for the Microsoft Transaction Server 2.0 using Visual Basic, Visual C++, and Visual J++. It teaches how to create and implement client applications in MTS. After completing this course, the student will be able to:
Communicate using MTS components
Implement MTS components in VB, VC++ and VJ++ by creating ActiveX DLL, object in C++ and objects in Java
Build the client as a stand-alone application using the existing client application
Configure remote clients by installing DCOM, run the configuration executable, and register components on a client computer
Create Web applications by invoking MTS components in ASP and VBScript
