This course is the first course of the four courses in the Fundamentals of VB 6.0 Programming curriculum. This curriculum prepares the students for the Microsoft Certified Professional Designing and Implementing Desktop Applications with Microsoft Visual Basic6.0 (70-176) exam. The title of this course is Introduction to the VB 6.0: Development Environment. This course teaches students to install VB 6.0 Enterprise Edition, introduces them to the integrated development environment in VB 6.0. Additionally, the course lists the features of Enterprise edition and the students learn to create a simple VB 6.0 application.

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

Identify the features and templates of VB 6.0
Install VB 6.0 Enterprise Edition
Customize the VB 6.0 development environment
Design a user interface for a VB 6.0 application
Create a VB 6.0 application
Compile a VB 6.0 application

Audience Programmers and Application Developers who have experience in programming using a structured language like Fortran and Pascal constitute the primary audience for this curriculum. This curriculum would introduce them to the fundamental programming techniques of Visual Basic 6.0. 
Course Requirements You need Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or above OR Netscape Navigator/Communicator 4.78 or above.
