The VBScript Programming Basics WBT is the first course in the VBScript and ActiveX curriculum. This course acquaints the students with the fundamentals of VBScript programming. It also describes the Object Model for scripting implemented by Internet Explorer. Additionally, the course explains error handling and data validation techniques. After completing this course, the student will be able to:

Identify the features of VBScript
Write a basic program using VBScript
Describe the different types of variables in VBScript
Identify the data types in VBScript
Declare different types of arrays
List the features of VBScript procedures
List the basic and string functions in VBScript
Describe other intrinsic VBScript functions
Identify the decision making constructs used in VBScript
Describe the looping constructs used in VBScript
Identify the features of the top-level of the Object model
Describe the objects in the Windows object
Describe the features of the Document object
Describe the features of the Link and Anchor objects
Describe the features of the Form and Element objects
Describe the Err object
Identify the On Error statements
Validate data entered in a text box
Validate data in form elements
