Institute for Supply Management
(ISM) is the first and largest supply management
institute in the world. With it's mission to lead supply
management, ISM introduces the Certified Professional in
Supply Management (CPSM) qualification as the next step-
forward in the profession. Endorsed by business and
thought-leaders across the globe, the knowledge, skills
and abilities represented in the CPSM are essential for
successful 21st century strategic supply management
operation.
The world is changing.
Globalization, increased cost pressures and competition
have elevated the profession beyond its former scope.
Senior management teams now look for supply managers
with expertise in multiple disciplines within supply
management.
This certification replaces the
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) that will be
discontinued December, 2008.
Those holding a
CPM certification are able to take an 180- question
“bridge” examination to achieve this CPSM certification.
