APPROACH

- Interactive sessions which are designed to provoke debate
- The course is assignment based combining lectures with group assignments & a mock exam
- The examination is based on a multiple choice paper, the exam takes place on the last day of the course
- Successful candidates will receive a certificate from the it SMF

- Certification scheme explained
- ISO/IEC 20000 overview; terminology, process and objectives
- ISO/IEC 20000 Part 1 in detail : The Specification for Service Management
- ISO/IEC 20000 Part 2 overview : The Code of Practice for Service Management
- Use and application of ISO/IEC 20000
- The role of the Service Management toolset in certification
- ISO/IEC 20000 Scoping and Eligibility
- Exam practice and preparations
COURSE DOCUMENTATION

- A comprehensive set of slides and supporting documents is provided
- For those delegates who do not already have a copy of ISO/IEC 20000 this will be provided, all delegates must have a copy of the standard with them during the course
PRE-REQUISITES
==============
- Certified ISO 9001, BS 7799 or TickIT auditor with 3 years general IT auditing experience with good communication skills
OR certified internal auditor with at least 3 years general IT auditing experience with good communication skills
