The 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Seminar provides entry level workers instruction on the basic recommended training subjects OSHA requires a wide variety of trade and industry workers. This Open Enrollment (any employee from any company may attend) course is completed in one sitting over a 10-hour day.

ALIGN="JUSTIFY">Completion Requirements: Students proceed through 10 classroom hours of instructor-led compliance training. A 70% passing score is required on the final written examination.

Should I take the 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety Course? The audience for this course includes Construction industry and building trades personnel, employers, contractors, union personnel and consultants. Per OSHA: "The 10-hour program is intended to provide a variety of instruction on Construction Industry Safety and Health standards to entry level workers."

Objectives: The purpose of this course is to introduce students to a variety of OSHA policies, procedures and standards, construction safety, and health principles. Emphasis is on identifying common hazards of the construction industry and avoidance, control and prevention of hazards techniques.

Course Overview: This course will alert both old and new workers of the dangers in construction work. Basic, tried and true approaches to site health and safety as required by law are demonstrated and discussed. Students progress through their workbooks with Power-Point Presentations, videos and instructor led discussions. Each topic's review questions are discussed in class and may appear on the final examination. Three required topics, seven essential topics and a written final exam complete one 10-hour class day.
