The 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Seminar provides experienced and supervisory level workers enhanced instruction on 20-OSHA recommended training topics that cover a wide variety of trade and industry safety scenarios.. This Open Enrollment (any employee from any company may attend) course is completed by attending three consecutive 10-hour days.

Completion Requirements: Students are provided with a Course Manual that covers the course content as well as mimics the course Power Point Presentations, videos and instructor led discussions. Each topic is reinforced with review questions at the end of each section to help students retain presented materials and classes are augmented by Instructor led topic discussions. Students are require to complete a final examination (70% passing score required) to receive certification

Should I take the 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety Course? The audience for this course includes Construction industry and building trades personnel, employers, contractors, union personnel, consultants and, especially, supervisors and foremen. For workers and supervisors interested in obtaining the advanced 7600 Disaster Site Worker Certification, this course is a prerequisite for attending.

Objectives: The purpose of this course is to re-introduce experienced private sector workers to a wide variety of OSHA policies, procedures and standards in the principles of construction safety and health. Emphasis is on identifying common and complex hazards of the construction industry and their avoidance, control and prevention.

Course Overview: This course alerts both new and experienced workers of the dangers inherent in construction work. A "Back-to-Basics" approach to site health and safety, as required by law are demonstrated and discussed and demonstrated throughout the course. Each topic's review questions are discussed in class and may appear on the final examination. During this course, students will cover twenty essential topics as well as successfully complete a written final exam over three 10-hour class days.
