Let s face it. Conflict is an inevitable part of human life, and the workplace is an arena with many occasions for conflict. Some conflicts flare up spontaneously and unexpectedly, while others smolder over a long period of time. You would think that, given the inevitability of conflict, most people would have become used to it and have devised effective strategies for resolving it. But that s not the case at all. Most people are deeply uncomfortable with conflict and, consequently, their way of resolving it is all too often not the most effective, and respectful, way. Help is here in the form of our Conflict Management workshop. Its goal is to increase
participants comfort with conflict situations, and to enhance their ability to work with others to resolve conflict and maintain respectful behavior. Why are you uncomfortable with conflict? What are the choices you have in a conflict situation and when is each appropriate? How can you manage spontaneous conflict? How can you communicate effectively during a conflict? And what about those really difficult people? These are the questions the workshop raises and answers through discussion, practice, and simulated situations. After the workshop the participants will have skills and strategies they can use, if not always to prevent conflict, then at least to arrive at a resolution that everyone involved can shake hands on.
$5,000 for facilitator plus $150 per participant.
