Delegation: The Gift that Grows
Does work in your organization continue to expand? Are managers finding it harder and harder to delegate? No one to delegate to. Too busy to teach someone else. Afraid it won t be done right. Or maybe they delegate and are disappointed with the results. It isn t done on time, or it doesn t meet expectations. Everybody ends up frustrated. This workshop isn t about delegation theory; it s about delegation practice the what, the how, the who and the when of successful delegation. With the tools it provides, your managers will gain a whole new perspective on delegation. They ll begin to see it, not as a frustrating necessity, but as a powerful resource for accomplishing their goals. In the workshop, participants examine each of the steps in the delegation process and identify their own particular barriers to delegation. They develop a strategy to overcome those barriers. Then they practice delegating and tracking the work through a series of simulations. And they practice giving feedback to the delegate. When they leave the workshop, they re ready to take on the real delegation tasks they face on the job.
