SolidWorks Advanced Part Modeling The goal of this course is to teach you how to build multibody and complex shape solid models using SolidWorks mechanical design software. Most of the case studies and exercises in this course are taken from industrial type applications, and the lessons primarily center on working with solids. Surfacing functions are covered in-depth in the Advanced Surface Modeling course.

The tools for modeling complex shapes in SolidWorks 2007 are quite robust and feature rich. During this course, we will cover many of the commands and options in great detail. However, it is impractical to cover every minute detail and still have the course be a reasonable length. Therefore, the focus of this course is on the fundamental skills, tools and concepts central to successfully building multibody and complex shape solid models. You should view the training manual as a supplement to, not a replacement for, the system documentation and on-line help. Once you have developed a good foundation in the skills covered in this course, you can refer to the online help for information on less frequently used command options.
